Elizabeth's Story
Elizabeth’s fitness journey started in an unconventional way with a major abdominal surgery for fibroids at age 30. After the surgery, which had a 6 month recovery, she turned to fitness, specifically dance cardio, to slowly regain her strength.
Drawing from all the things she loved about different workouts and adding in her own personal touch, Elizabeth went on to create the Dance Cardio Plus workout in NYC. For five years, she taught thousands at her studios in Noho and Tribeca and had an amazing community of women who took her classes.
Then, in 2020, all fitness classes were put on pause in the city and Elizabeth also was forced to take a sabbatical from DCP. After a long battle with fibroids, 8 surgeries and 2 rounds of IVF she was finally pregnant! It was a high risk pregnancy and she was not allowed to dance or exercise the entire time. It was all worth it though and, after a vertical c-section surgery, her son Dillon safely arrived one month day early, happy and healthy.
Like before, Elizabeth turned to dance fitness to heal and regain her abdominal strength after Dillon’s birth. After a long rehabilitation, Elizabeth is back and so excited to relaunch DCP as the ETK Workout in Connecticut and get back into the dance studio to share what she loves!
CEO and Founder of the ETK Workout, Elizabeth has trained in dance since childhood, studying ballet, jazz, hip hop and classical Thai dance. She’s performed on TV variety shows in Thailand (and for the queen!) in addition to appearing in various concerts and music videos around the world. Elizabeth also served as the Director of the Dance Organization of Boston College. She trained in dance cardio under celebrity trainer Katherine Greiner of KG Body at The Movement. She was a master stretch coach at Power Stretch Studios (now Kika Stretch Studios) and also has a NASM certification in nutrition.
